Back in Europe- first stop, Finland :)

Sophia and Nicholas
My destination for this long journey back from Australia was Finland, but before I reached the land of thousand lakes, I had a small 3 hour layover in London. It was well planned as the Mack-Jones family was on their last day on vacation in England and as I won't have any time to go to America this year, America came to me :) So I met my little munchkins who of course weren't so little anymore. It was a sweet reunion and I was overwhelmed with happiness. The kids had had a great time in Europe but were also excited to go back to Boston. These 3 hours went fast, but making my journey 4 hours longer and seeing these faces was the best choice I could have made.

Once in Finland, it finally hit me that I was home. Spending time with my step mom and brothers was the best. We went to our summerhouse for the weekend and I felt like a kid again. My brothers and I jumped on the trampoline, played basketball, picked some blueberries, went for a ride with our ATV/motorbikes in the woods, saw some horses(we are all scared of them), swam in the lake twice and of course went to the sauna. Typical Finnish summer holiday- I love it!!!
summerhouse fun

It was also great to see some of my old friends who I now only see twice a year if I'm lucky. I spent the last day in Helsinki and met some more friends and had a lovely dinner with my dad. A time well spent :)

So, let's see what's waiting for me now- for the next 9 days I will be in Estonia,  then 10 days in Sweden, another 2 weeks in Estonia (hopefully will be enough time to see my whole family and friends) and finally on Sept 14th I will leave to England to do my second exchange semester. Dear life, well I guess I should be used to it by now, the life of a world trotter.

#onasidenote- can't wait to settle down!
